Recently, I visited Palm Springs to watch “The Last Hurrah”. After 23 wonderful years, The Fabulous Palm Springs Follies is proudly celebrating its final season. In my opinion, it was one of the most funny, fabulous and emotional musical show I have ever been too.
Impresario Riff Markowitz and his jokes could only make you cry with laughter and one of his lines used to address the audience caught my interest “Every time I see new faces but same people”. Since it was the last season, there was a brief introduction of all the dancers. Female dancers walked down followed by “Pretty woman”. All the ladies wore great awesome huge costumes with wings, leaves, jewels and feathers and their costumes reminded me of Victoria Secret Fashion Show. After hearing their life stories and their AGE, my respect raised immensely high towards these great dancers. Moreover, the show had rock legend Darlene Love as cherry on top of the show.
The last scene of the show was very emotional. We all knew this would be the last time to enjoy and cherish the Follies. Together with Riff, dancers and comedians, the audience had tears of joy and sadness. The joy for the show to continue for 23 years and the sadness for it to end now.

P.S. As the saying goes it’s never too late, I feel proud to be a part of the great show and it was totally worth it.
