Trip to Chicago was short & sweet.
The first things that hit my mind when I recall my Chicago trip are the deep Chicago pizza, rooftop bars and the love that the city rose within me for modern contemporary arts. For the best deep pizza, I would recommend Lou Malnati located at 439 N Wells St, Chicago, IL 60654. The best thing about this location is that it is at the end of the Magnificient Mile and close to Navy Pier. You will not need to go off your route and can stop here by for lunch or dinner.
One can enjoy downtown Chicago on land, water and air. In addition to beautiful walking tours, boat rides, they have one of the best rooftop bars in the country. Make sure to visit them to appreciate the city from a different angle with booze in your hand. Both day and night views are equally worthy. (I will post some night shots of Chicago soon in my next post)
During my visit, Museum of Contemporary Arts, aka MOCA, had a great exhibition of Takashi Murakami. I had seen some of his art pieces before at The Broad museum in Los Angeles, but in Chicago, I fell in love with him. Thank you MOCA for exhibiting his great work and explaining in details. It grew interest in me for the modern arts which I never had before.
P.S. If you are one of those who wants to make a short trip, you should definitely visit this city.
